I've been diving into the research about repeated readings and if teachers would like to ditch the traditional book log & move to a repeated reading log this might be for you. This is just 1 way to help your students with fluency. I'm happy to share this resource. @SoR@SoRclassroomp

If a child is experiencing anxious feelings, talking to someone can help them to manage better, feel less alone and more supported. This might be a family member, friend or trusted adult. Find out more in our new animation ‘Let’s talk about anxiety’. crowd.in/8sgOWI

Activity Idea
We really enjoyed the noughts and crosses game using subordinate clauses. @missspatelrps@Talk4Writing @DwayneToon@MrsSullivanRPS@MrDurkinRPS@RollestonPri@Deanatfifty@PieCorbett@Talk4Writing@Infeducation@MrJ_Evans@BriarHillSch@literacyfocus@SteElleCity89@HonestQT

We use a similar board game activity to practice complex sentence formulation:
Private Practice Tips
Start close in,
don’t take the second step
or the third,
start with the first
thing
close in,
the step
you don’t want to take.
Forget about finishing the chapter or paper. Start with the first sentence. Start close in. Don't worry about the second step. @poetdavidwhyte— Hugh Kearns (@ithinkwellHugh)

Premises constraints are a big issue for many SLPs in private practice, too:
Two in five GPs in England have said that their premises were not fit for delivering basic care, with too few consulting rooms or not enough space to host multidisciplinary team meetings @rcgp

A great role model for how to respond to a professional set-back:
It's been a month since the @bostonmarathon. Today we reflect on life’s ups and downs, and the challenges that we faced that day. After the race, I received so many positive messages from everyone around the world, that's a huge motivation for me to bounce back.
