5. 🔥 NDIS and provider 🔧🔨
The thread immediately below is an early example of how, post-3 October, ‘NDIS Supports’ (i.e. funded supports) may be limited by the category or categories of ‘impairment’ that initially enabled the person with disability to meet the access criteria to become a participant. This is going to be a very big deal for many of our clients (and SLPs):
🧵 I'm a "successful" PhD candidate but I just cried in my first NDIS planning meeting. This thread shows how punitive and demoralising the scheme can be even for so-called high-functioning people, especially since the NDIS reforms.

After hearing from over 1,500 of you, we started talking to major coffee chains. Most engaged, but not @StarbucksUK - whose practice of asking for names already creates an extra barrier.
