Tool of the week: our new website - davidkinnane.com - where we’re organising our new and key resources for speech pathology practice, allied health, and the NDIS in one place!
Activity ideas for morphological awareness training
Private practice tips on systems thinking, leadership and the joy of just saying “no”
Open-access research/summaries about peer relationships for children with SSDs, mood and depression for people with ABI

I've compiled a list of common questions I get asked.
What's wrong with Social Skills Training? What's the alternative to #PECS? Why is diagnosing #Autistic children with Language Disorder problematic? Why is ToM research flawed?

Private Practice Tips
Regular reflection and going back to the basics is important in #ImpSci. I love this illustration by @SuhaSelcuk helping us shift from linear thinking to systems thinking. Our implementation problems are not one-time events. They are caused by chronic system failures.

Such honesty from Luke when he talks about anticipation, representation and where he is at. I love how he talks about his older brother who stutters as a role model. Kudos to Sky for their use of language as we all know language matters!!. Thanks to all involved 🙏

Speech and Language Therapists are a core member of the critical care service. Timely access to such specialists gives our ventilated patients their voice back, establishes their oral intake earlier, and reduces the length of stay on ITU - and in hospital.
