FREE assessment and therapy resources
National Guideline for the Ax and Dx of ASD:
Diagnostic-based funding means families get lost in unforgiving systems, and drives unhelpful clinical practices.
Systems must ask who a child is (strengths, challenges) not what diagnosis they have.
This approach is enshrined in the Aussie Dx guideline.— Andrew Whitehouse (@AJOWhitehouse)

Is your client decoding or memorising: a free two-sentence test!
Here's a clever two-sentence reading test, offered by Mary Johnson (by way of Don Potter), to help determine if a child has been taught to read incorrectly, via memorized sight words, or correctly, via synthetic phonics.

Free decoding automaticity lists
I have tweaked the word lists based on analysis of errors and children’s performance and will be trialling it again…
I’m finding the process very interesting even if I decide the decoding automaticity test doesn’t add much to what a simple WCPM fluency check could do!
