Banter Booster: speech therapy research, training, resources, practice tips, and more

Excited to share our latest work on set for variability as a predictor of word reading out now in Reading Research Quarterly's SI on dyslexia. Access the article here: ila.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/rr… (also happy to email) and check out our infographic of our previous work on the topic:

“Importantly, the present results suggest that it is the children's reading ability that determines how much they choose to read, rather than vice versa”.

Private practice tips for employees, managers & owners:
What makes work meaningful is mostly not 💰
This paper finds 60% of meaningfulness at work comes from non-economic factors: autonomy (that one has choices & authority over tasks), competence (a feeling of mastery), and relatedness (connection to others). httpdocs.iza.org/dp13112.pdfp

For my #speechpathology clients, I am present, patient and flexible. I am ready to put on my counsellor hat. And I will always get on the floor and have a laugh with my kiddos. Don’t get caught in your own head as a clinician - clients first. #SLP2Bchat#SPweek2022
